NBC Roundup: Lake rallies late to beat Northwood

Lake 36, Northwood 22

Dawson Delventhal threw three touchdown passes as the Flyers won at home in a nonconference game on Friday night.

Delventhal connected on scoring strikes of 15 and 42 yards to Harry Jackson, who finished with four catches for 208 yards, and had a 68-yard touchdown run.

The other touchdown pass for Lake (2-0) covered 18 yards to Johnny Guyton.

For Northwood (1-1), the halfback pass proved successful as Austin Cole found Jon Lucas for touchdowns covering 80 and 75 yards.

The Rangers also got a 10-yard TD run from Jay Moten, and scored on a safety.

Port Clinton 47, Rossford 33

The visiting Redskins (1-1) used a balanced scoring attack to offset the huge night by Bulldogs junior quarterback Kyle Kromenacker.

Ian Willoughby had 163 rushing yards for Port Clinton and a touchdown. Cooper Stine also topped 100 yards and had a touchdown. Quarterback Colton Klima ran for a score and threw for 148 yards and two scores as the Redskins put four TDs on the board in the fourth quarter.

Kromenacker was 24 of 41 passing for 355 yards and five touchdowns but one of his attempts was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Stine. Rossford drops to 0-2.

Gibsonburg 38, Woodmore 12

ELMORE — Theo Hernandez had nine carries for 152 yards, which included a 77-yard touchdown run, for the visiting Golden Bears.

Addison Weaver completed 2 of 4 passes for 56 yards, but both were touchdowns, covering 16 yards to Hernandez and 40 yards to Bradley Mendoza.

Jesse Arriaga returned an interception 40 yards for a score for Gibsonburg (2-0).

Aaron Sandrock led Woodmore (0-2), completing 6 of 12 passes for 67 yards, including a 4-yard touchdown to Taityn Rollins. Sandrock also scored on a 61-yard run.

Genoa 34, Oak Harbor 14

OAK HARBOR — Jacob Plantz had a hand in three touchdowns as the Comets rolled over the Rockets.

Plantz connected with Nathan Lewis for a 10-yard strike and rushed for a 1-yard score. He also returned an interception 58 yards for a touchdown.

Jacob Bradfield also crossed the end zone on a 38-yard run.

For Genoa, Jac Alexander threw for 170 yards and a TD.
