Walleye tripped by Wings, 4-1

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Toledo Walleye fell to Kalamazoo 4-1 on Friday night.

Walleye goaltender Matej Machovsky stopped 26 of 30 shots and is now 3-5-0-1 on the season.

Toledo is 17-8-2-1 on the season and 8-5-2-1 on the road.

Kalamazoo struck first to take a 1-0 lead at 4:55 of the first period. The Wings extended their lead to 2-0 at 16:16 of the first.

The Wings took a 3-0 lead on a power play goal at 9:57 of the second period.

Erik Bradford put the Walleye on the board to make it a 3-1 game at 5:53 of the third period. Bradford has six points in his past five games.

The Wings took a 4-1 lead at 15:31 of the third.

Toledo is 46-43-10 all-time against Kalamazoo.

The Walleye are home Wednesday for a 7:15 p.m. puck drop against Indy and Friday for a 7:15 p.m. puck drop against Kalamazoo.
