Maumee team is runner-up in sand soccer championships

The Maumee Express recently played in the North American Sand Soccer Championships, the world s largest beach sand soccer event held in Virginia

Beach, Va., and despite it being the first time the team had ever played on sand, Maumee Express was runner-up in the U-13 boys Surf Division.

Fox Soccer Channel s national weekly series, FC Fox, developed a story on the team, and that segment will air at 7:30 tonight.
