Toledo police groups to host boxing tourney
4/21/2011The Toledo-Lucas County Police Athletic League and Toledo Police Department have been chosen to host the 2011 and 2012 National Police Athletic League boxing championships Oct. 1-8 at SeaGate Convention Centre. Toledo last hosted the amateur boxing event in 2003.
Toledo PAL is a nonprofit program designed to prevent delinquency by relying heavily on athletics to counter the gang influence and substance abuse.
