The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo has named a two-person leadership team with duties split between Marc Folk and Dorene M. Nowatzke.

Folk, 30, is artistic director, responsible for art in public places, arts programs, and the nonprofit group's Web site. A University of Toledo graduate who studied sculpture and printmaking, Folk has been interim director for several months.

Nowatzke, 36, heads business and development efforts. For the last five years, she was president of the Fostoria Area Chamber of Commerce. She graduated from Ball State University.

The two were finalists from a field of about 40 applicants. The positions were effective April 21.

The directors will be paid $50,000, said Joe Spencer, president of the board.

The former executive director, Heather Rohrs, and marketing coordinator, Traci Sands, resigned earlier this year.
