Museum winding down 'What's in the Vaults'
12/7/2004The free exhibition The Unseen Art of TMA: What's in the Vaults and Why?, will close Jan. 2 at the Toledo Museum of Art, 2445 Monroe St.
●Two exhibitions to open in 2005 will trace three centuries of French art. Passion for Drawing: Poussin to Cezanne, Works from the Prat Collection is scheduled Feb. 5 through April 3, and French Prints from the Toledo Museum of Art will be on view Feb. 18 through May 15.
The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The museum will close at 4 p.m. on Dec. 24 and at 9 p.m. on Dec. 31. Information: 419-255-8000.
University of Toledo Center for the Visual Arts Gallery, 620 Grove Place, presents Arrival of Ravens by Gerry Brock on view through Jan. 8. A reception is scheduled from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Information: 419-530-8300.
The Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery in the Fine Arts Center at Bowling Green State University presents the 55th annual faculty staff exhibition through Jan. 18. More than 85 works by 48 artists are on display. Admission is free. The gallery will be closed Dec. 15-Jan. 11 during the university's holiday break.
The Fine Arts Association of Delta is spotlighting the artwork of Nannette Sturtevant through December in Dee's Art & Angles, 327 Main St., Delta. The association, a nonprofit organization, meets from 7 to 9 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month in Delta Memorial Hall, 401 Main St. Information: 419-822-9725.
