UT, Adrain schedule exhibits by students

The University of Toledo Center for Visual Arts Gallery, 620 Grove Pl., adjacent to the Toledo Museum of Art, presents its Juried Student Biennial Exhibition, featuring works by UT students, through March 18. Adrian College presents a senior art exhibit March 7-19 in Stubnitz Gallery in Downs Hall.

The work of Amanda Grobaski, Jeremy Jones, Dena Kohen, Anthony Miler, and Sarah Wagner will comprise the first of three shows featuring various media, including pottery, painting, and sculpting. Hours for Stubnitz Gallery are noon to 4 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. Thursday An artists reception is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. March 13.

Downtown Latte, a coffee and events shop at 44 South St. Clair St., presents Poetry Art by Nancy Jean through the end of March. The artist's work includes a blend of poetry and original art. A public reception for the artist is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. March 12. Information: 419-243-6032.

The Toledo Artists' Club Gallery in Toledo Botanical Garden, 5403 Elmer Dr., presents its new show All Creatures Great and Small on view through March 24. The animal-themed juried display features artwork of dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, camel, and reptiles. Winners include Betty Kemp, best of show; Merv Russell, first place; Margie Carlile, second place; Lisa Zook Brenner, third place, and Marilyn Keogh and Jan Vezner, honorable mentions. The Walter E. Terhune Gallery in Owens Community College's Center for Fine and Performing Arts presents the exhibition Interactions, Artist to Artist on view through March 26. The display features the black ceramic sculptures of David Cayton and paintings and hand-made paper pieces by Dorothy Linden. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
