Young people invited to compete in contest

Young people up to age 18 may enter the "What Reading Means to Me" art contest at Westfield Shoppingtown Franklin Park. Deadline is June 24. The contest is taking place at Westfield Group properties across the country. One national winner will receive a $500 Westfield gift card and a $500 U.S. Savings Bond. Garden Delights, 5723 North Main St., Sylvania, presents "Art In the Garden," featuring works by more than 45 artists and crafters, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 11. A raffle of donated artwork and a flower sale to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life will take place throughout the day. Music and refreshments will be provided. Admission is free. Parkwood Gallery, 1838 Parkwood Ave., Suite 120, presents its group show through June 3. The Perrysburg Area Arts Council seeks artists of all ages, skills, and media to exhibit works at its Art Dabblers' Fair, scheduled for 1-4 p.m. June 5 in the 577 Foundation, 577 East Front St., Perrysburg. Nonmembers are asked to contribute $5 to cover the cost of easel rental at the free event.
