Quilt show slated in Grand Rapids

Hosanna Lutheran Church, 23019 Kellogg St., Grand Rapids, is hosting a quilt show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Quilts on display include a crazy quilt from 1880; eight quilted items from Colorado, and the Grand Rapids Sesquicentennial quilt made in 1983, which includes appliqu blocks showing the 150-year history of Grand Rapids. Saturday s event also includes a luncheon and a silent auction that ends at 4 p.m.

Mary Dawson, Hewen Slak, and Robert Martin have works on display through Nov. 18 in Parkwood Gallery, 1838 Parkwood Ave., Suite 120, at the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo headquarters. The gallery is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Information: 419-254-2787 or www.acgt.org

As part of Waterville s Holiday Open House, artist Teri Utz Bersee will sell and sign copies of a print of her pastel painting of the Roche de Boeuf Bridge. It is the first in a series of works depicting historic buildings in Waterville. Bersee will be at the Danberry building, 20 North Third St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Findlay Art League, 117 West Crawford St., Findlay, opens its 29th annual juried show from 5 to 9 p.m. tomorrow, featuring 65 works from 42 artists. Show juror was Dominec Catalano, assistant professor of art education at Bowling Green State University. Hours for exhibit, on view through Nov. 13, are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays; 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11.
