2/9/2006The American Gallery, 6600 Sylvania Ave., presents a jewelry trunk show Saturday featuring the designs of Katherine Mims, Sally Rumman, and Chelsea Hall, and a textile exhibition through Feb. 28 featuring the works of Marilyn M. Prucka. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Saturday.

Paula Brown Gallery, 912 Monroe St., is featuring an exhibition of Baccarat heart-shaped jewelry designs in its Frisson collection. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Walter E. Terhune Gallery in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the Perrysburg campus of Owens Community College showcases the work of area contemporary glass artists in its exhibition Glass In Glass City, on display Monday through March 25. A free slide lecture by glass sculptor Jack Schmidt is scheduled at 5 p.m. March 17, followed by a reception for the artists. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Closed for spring break March 6-12. The Guild of Artists and Artisans is calling for entries for its second Levis Commons Fine Art Fair, scheduled Aug. 26 and 27. The application deadline is March 1. This year s event has room for 140 juried artists. Last year s inaugural show featured 125 juried artists and artisans from 13 states and media including jewelry, ceramics, painting, glass, photography, and fiber.

20 North Gallery, 20 North St. Clair St., will open its Black History Month Through Art & Music exhibit with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Patrons can meet the show artists including Wil Clay, Wade Harrison, Aaron Bivins, Ahmad Jacobs, Warren and Yolanda Woodberry, Ramon Tiggs, Elizabeth Jordan, PamelaJean Patterson, R.E. Braziel, and John Wade. Featured musical performers include the jazz quartet M.I.N.D. and jazz saxophonist and flautist M-Sax.

Celebrating Nature, an exhibit of more than 50 photographs by Art Weber, opens with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 19 at Heidelberg at Arrowhead Park, 1757 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee.
Weber is the director of the National Center for Nature Photography at Secor Metropark.
The exhibit runs through April 8 in the Arrowhead Gallery, where hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 10 a.m. to noon Friday and Saturday. Information: 419-893-1986.
