BG plans ArtWalk!

Main Street Bowling Green presents ArtWalk! 2006 from noon to 5 p.m. April 29 on Main Street in downtown Bowling Green. The event will feature the talents of more than 100 community artists from novice to professional, displayed in downtown locations turned gallery for the day, with the Wood County District Public Library hosting the professional gallery. Art Night, an evening of live music, theatrical performances, and refreshments, is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Leslie Adams Gallery, 1 St. Clair St. UT students and alumni will be the featured performers, and an exhibit of works by the Toledo Federation of Art Societies is featured in the gallery. The Main Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, 325 Michigan St., is presenting works created by the Thursday Morning Painters through April 28 in the library gallery. Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Sandusky Cultural Center, 2130 Hayes Ave., Sandusky, hosts the exhibit, Spring, The Spiral Form in Art, Sunday through May 21. The exhibit features the mixed-media works of 12 contemporary Ohio artists who employ the spiral motion in their work, as well as examples of natural spirals and other artists spiral works from private collections. Clay Gallery, 110 East Liberty, Ann Arbor, presents a display of raku and red-glazed pottery by J.T. Abernathy May 2 through June 4. An opening reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. May 5.
