Pair of venues featuring quilts

Nine quilts made to benefit Sunshine Inc. of Northwest Ohio and Mennonite Central Committee, will be on display at Epworth United Methodist Church, 3077 Valley View Dr., tomorrow through April 25. All the quilts on display will be auctioned on June 16 at the Black Swamp Benefit Bazaar at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Wauseon. Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

The Glass City Quilt Commission s traveling display continues through July 15 to promote the biennial quilt show scheduled July 21 and 22 at the Franciscan Theatre & Conference Center of Lourdes College in Sylvania. The quilts are on display through April 24 in the Ottawa Hills Community Room, then move to the Quilt Foundry in Maumee (April 25-May 6); Sauder Village s 31st annual Quilt Fair in Archbold (May 1-6); the Catherine Eberly Center for Women at the University of Toledo (May 7-June 2); the 577 Foundation in Perrysburg (June 3); Way Public Library in Perrysburg (June 417) and the Maumee Library (June 18-July 15). Conglomerama Space 237 s annual spring exhibit, will be mounted April 20-June 16 in the gallery at 237 North Michigan St. The exhibition will feature photography, prints, metals, ceramics, paintings, collage, found objects and more. An opening reception will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. April 20. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Perrysburg Arts Club presents a lecture titled A-Z: Reproducing Artwork from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Way Public Library, 101 East Indiana Ave., Perrysburg. Paul Clark of SFC Graphics in Toledo will discuss inexpensive reproductions to high-end quality art reproductions such as limited edition lithographs and giclees. Information: 419-874-3135.

The Bowling Green State University Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition II, featuring the work of Sebastien Dion, Phil Hazard, Takemi Tsuruta, and Danielle Worst, will be presented April 28-May 5 in the Dorothy Uber Bryan and Willard Wankelman Galleries at BGSU. The Grand Rapids Arts Council is accepting submissions for the Sunset Jazz and Art Festival to be held from Aug. 19 in Grand Rapids. Artists must submit three photos displaying close-ups of their original, hand-produced work. Acceptances will be confirmed by June 30.
