Art exhibit is perfect for the spooky season
10/9/2008Opening reception for Macabre: An Eerie Art Exhibition featuring 25 artists will be 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 17 at Space 237, 237 North Michigan St. It celebrates the inexplicable and the unexplained, shadows and harvest. The reception with artists in the 19th-century building will also feature belly dance, contemporary rock music by Turophile, tarot card readings by Theodora, representatives of the Toledo Paranormal Research Society, refreshments, and a Secret Installation by the resident artists of work that can be touched but not seen. Painting, Poetry, and Passion, a free workshop for artists, writers, musicians, and storytellers, will be 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Maumee Library's Community Room.
