Jewelry exhibit opening with a reception tonight

Blingin' in the Holidays, 6 to 9 tonight, opens the Toledo Museum of Art's new show, Radiant Ensemble: Jewelry from the Nancy & Gilbert Levine Collection. Free to members, $15 for nonmembers, the event in the Glass Pavilion includes the first peek at bling from the 18th and 19th centuries, a 21st century DJ, appetizers, cash bar, jewelry making, jewelry photo ops, and more. Blow your Own Ornament, a glass-blowing session, is open to all ages tomorrow to Sunday and Dec. 13 and 14 at the Toledo Area Glass Guild in Toledo Botanical Garden, 5403 Elmer Dr. Fee is $20. Also at TBG, the Toledo Artists' Club Holiday Show continues through Dec. 26 in the club's gallery, which, along with other resident art cottages, will be open during this weekend's Heralding the Holidays event.

Nine model ships are on view through Jan. 10 throughout the Main Library, 325 North Michigan St. They are replicas of ships that once plied Lake Erie. Guide maps are available at the first-floor information desk.
