    Flamingos, Dust Bunnies, and Decay opens with a free, 7 to 10 p.m. reception with the artists Friday at Space 237, 237 North Michigan St. Artists were asked for work exploring contemporary social problems and natural disasters. The show continues through June 24. Information: 419-255-5117.

    Artomatic 419! wraps up Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. in two downtown buildings at 407 Washington and 25 South St. Clair streets. The free event features 200 visual artists showing a wide variety of work including short films, and performing artists on three stages.     What's Wrong with Me? Art and Disease, runs April 22 through Aug. 7 in the Hitchcock Gallery at the Toledo Museum of Art.

    Selected by University of Toledo students were 31 prints, sculptural objects, and a video with three themes: disease as part of life; isolation and social stigma related to certain diseases, and hope, faith, and compassion.

    Also at the museum, a change of venue for a talk and show of short films at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow has been announced. Glass artists Mark Matthews and Robin Lehman will be in the Little Theater.

    A 6 to 8 p.m. reception Friday in River House Arts, 115 West Front St. in Perrysburg, will feature work by Leslie Adams, Edith Franklin, Monica Edgerton-Sperry, Gerry Brock, Joe Ann Cousino, and Diane Wah. Information: 419-874-8900 and river-house-arts.com.

    The Perrysburg Area Arts Council hosts spring-themed shows in April and May on the lower level of the Way Public Library, 101 East Indiana Ave. in Perrysburg.

    Call for artists: The Center for Creative Arts, 24195 Front St. in downtown Grand Rapids is recruiting people who would like to sell their work in the storefront Sundays from May 8 through Sept. 25. Information: 419-830-3010.

    The annual Spring Ceramics Sale of pottery and art made by students will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 21 and 22 in Room 1218 of the Fine Arts Building at Bowling Green State University. Information: 419-372-3836.

    Call for artists: Work inspired by or related to motor vehicles and racing is sought by Flatlanders Art Galleries in Blissfield, Mich. Classic and racing cars are also invited to display in the galleries' parking lot on NASCAR dates at the nearby Michigan International Speedway, June 18 and Aug. 20.
