The late Edith Franklin was well-known in Toledo's arts community. She taught ceramics and tirelessly promoted the arts. Shortly after her death in August at the age of 89, 11 artists created drawings, paintings, prints, cut paper, and ceramics (represented by photographs), for a 2013 calendar in her honor. The first 100 calendars have sold but another hundred will be available Monday. Proceeds from the $15 calendar will be donated to Edith's Youth Art Fund at the Toledo Community Foundation, which supports programs at The Arts Commission. Calendars are at Art Supply Depo, 25 S. St Clair St., which coordinated the project. Information: 419-720-6462 and artsupplydepo@gmail.com.
