A former head of DaimlerChrysler AG's Dodge Viper factory is the new plant manager for Chrysler's portion of a $900 million Toledo Jeep Assembly plant that will build two-door and four-door versions of the Jeep Wrangler.

Cynthia Sidoti, most recently director of paint and energy management advance manufacturing engineering for Chrysler in Auburn Hills, Mich., began the Toledo job yesterday, the firm said. She is plant manager for the final assembly portion of the multifactory plant, Toledo Jeep Supplier Park, the rest of which is operated by suppliers.

Luis Rivas remains manager of Toledo North Assembly Plant, where the Jeep Liberty is built and the Dodge Nitro will be added this summer.
