SHANGHAI — Maumee-based Dana Holding Corp. expects to expand in China as vehicle production and demand increase in the world’s biggest auto market, Aziz Aghili, the firm’s Asia Pacific president, said in an interview with Reuters Monday.

Dana, a supplier of axles, drive shafts, and transmissions, has a small presence in China at the moment. But the firm is looking to enter into more partnerships and to increase the hiring of engineers in China. In 2010, China contributed around 10 percent to Asia Pacific sales of around $732 million.

Mr. Aghili declined to give specific forecast figures.
