Sergio Marchionne, chief executive of Chrysler Group LLC, is coming to Toledo next week to announce the automaker's $365 million investment and addition of 1,000 jobs at its Toledo Assembly complex.

The company, confirming the visit The Blade disclosed Tuesday, said the event is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the complex to "announce plans." Details of the plans were not disclosed, but Chrysler filings for state and local tax assistance for its investment specified the investment and jobs to be coming.

The announcement is expected to include $357 million in investment and an $8 million expansion at the factory that now makes Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro vehicles. Analysts believe it could be the first of a number of expansions -- with additional jobs -- at the complex, which also makes the Jeep Wrangler.

Gov. John Kasich, U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo), and Mayor Mike Bell are among those Chrysler is said to have invited.
