GM to introduce SUV to be sold outside U.S.

DETROIT — General Motors Co. plans to introduce a small sport-utility vehicle called the Chevrolet Trax in a key addition to its foreign product mix.

The vehicle, to be shown for the first time at the Paris Motor Show in September, is to be available in Mexico starting in the fourth quarter. The five-seat Trax won't be sold in the United States because of its similarity to the Chevrolet Equinox.
