Chrysler suspends work on plug-ins
9/25/2012DETROIT — Chrysler Group LLC said Monday it has suspended work on a test fleet of plug-in hybrid-electric vehicles pickups and minivans after several of the batteries in its pickups overheated.
No one was injured, and the incidents occurred when the vehicles were unoccupied, Chrysler said. The batteries were supplied by Electrovaya Inc., based in Mississauga, Ontario, near Toronto.
