2 NW Ohio firms receive job-creation tax credits

COLUMBUS -- Two northwest Ohio companies were approved for job creation tax credits Monday by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority.

Patrick Products, Inc., of Leipsic, was approved for a 45 percent, five-year tax credit. The Putnam County company plans to create 30 full-time positions with an average salary of more than $28,000 a year in an expansion project. Patrick Products makes plastic bottles for the janitorial supply, household chemical, food, and automotive markets.

Diamond Manufacturing of Bluffton was approved for a 40 percent, five year tax credit. The company plans to expand its metalworking facility and add 25 full-time jobs with an average salary of $30,000 a year.
