TAAC: Northwood's rally falls short

Ayersville scored the first 19 points and held on to win on the road.
Hunter Stark rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries to lead the Pilots. He scored from 32 and 68 yards out. Mikey McGuire threw a 70-yard TD pass to Jacob Miller and Dauson Dales returned an interception for a 61-yard TD.
Dominik Bermejo rushed for 222 yards and a 68-yard touchdown on 24 carries to pace Northwood.
Chanlor Hayes added a four-yard touchdown run and caught a 78-yard touchdown pass from Michael Vallejo.
Van Buren 48,Ottawa Hills 7
Ross Adolph scored three first-quarter touchdowns and the Black Knights cruised at Ottawa Hills.
Adolph finished with eight carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Lucas Huber added 104 yards on only three carries for Van Buren, which outgained Ottawa Hills 500-220 overall and 322-141 on the ground.
Riley Adolph completed 11 of 12 passes for 178 yards and four TDs — Braxton Fasone scored on 22 and 29-yard receptions, Ross Adolph’s TD catch spanned eight yards, and Huber’s score came from 31 yards out.
Andrew Boesel scored the lone TD for Ottawa Hills on a six-yard carry. He finished with 18 carries for 138 yards.
Delta 41, Toledo Christian 9
Dylan Nostrant had three touchdown runs and scored on a 60-yard punt return as the Panthers rolled at Springfield.
Ethan Edwards added TD runs of nine and 25 yards for Delta.
The Eagles’ lone touchdown came in the fourth quarter on a four-yard pass from Brett Freeman to Matt Brumbaugh. Mason Hecklinger booted a 27-yard field goal.
Danbury 47, Elyria Open Door 18
LAKESIDE — Seth Vargo rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns and threw for another for the Lakers.
Vargo ran in from 15, 42, 1, and 13 yards out. He also connected with John Brooks on a 22-yard TD pass. Justin Tibbels returned a kickoff 55 yards for a TD and Taylon Molnar added a one-yard rushing score.
Dan Stintsman led Elyria Open Door Christian with 79 yards passing and two touchdowns and added a one-yard TD run.
