Falcon women misfire in loss

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The Bowling Green women's basketball team just couldn't find the basket in a 51-47 loss to Yale in the Gatorade Holiday Classic yesterday.

The Falcons (2-7) made just 1 of 27 3-point attempts and were 18 of 66 (27.3 percent) from the field overall.

Kelly Kapferer scored 12 points and added 10 rebounds for BGSU. Dana Western-Schuka also pulled down 10 rebounds.

Bonnie Smith scored 11 and Lindsey Page 10 for Yale (5-3), 13 of 30 at the free-throw line.
