Notre Dame slips by BG 3-2

BOWLING GREEN - Notre Dame's Aaron Gill scored with a wrist-shot at 10:14 of the third period last night to break a 2-2 tie and lift the Irish to a win over Bowling Green State University.

The win moved the Irish to 10-13-6 overall, 8-10-3 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. BG is 7-18-2, 4-15-2.

BG goalie Tyler Masters, making his first start since Jan. 17 against Ohio State, kicked aside 34 shots. Notre Dame's Morgan Cey stopped 33 shots.

Roger Leonard gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead in the opening period.

Notre Dame went ahead 2-1 in the second and BG's Steve Brudewski tied the game at 2 later in the period.

The same teams square off tonight in the BG Ice Arena at 7:05.
