BG's Honegger is MAC West player of week

Liz Honegger, a freshman on the Bowling Green women s basketball team, was named Mid-American Conference West Division player of the week for the second time this season.

Honegger, a 5-11 center from Lafayette, Ind., averaged 18.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game in three Falcon victories last week.

Her top performances included a 20-point, 10-rebound effort against Eastern Kentucky that included a school-record seven blocked shots. She also had 22 points and nine boards in BG s home win over Cleveland State on Saturday.
