ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Sophomores Ali Mann and Liz Honegger each had double-doubles, and the Bowling Green women basketball team posted solid performances at both ends of the floor en route to a 75-54 win over Utah State last night at University Arena.

Honegger collected 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Mann added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Falcons (4-4) in the consolation game of the Southwest Airlines Lobo Shootout.

Freshman Whitney Taylor scored 10 points.

"I feel good with where this team is at right now," BG coach Curt Miller said. "I felt like we had a really good weekend. We came to New Mexico with one goal, and that wasn't in the win-loss column. It was to leave New Mexico as a better team, and I feel that we have accomplished that."

"We gained a lot of confidence in playing well for as long as we did against New Mexico [in Friday night's game], and I think we saw that in the first half against Utah State, which is a very good team with good ball pressure. We really took it to them in the first half, and I was really proud. I think this team is really starting to grow, and we are leaving New Mexico as a better team."

Brittany Tressler was the lone Aggie in double digits, with 12 points off the bench.
