BOWLING GREEN - Despite returning to the Mid-American Conference East division this season, the Bowling Green State University men's basketball team still plays the University of Toledo twice.

BGSU released its 2005-06 schedule yesterday, and the Falcons and Rockets face off Jan. 15 in Anderson Arena and Feb. 11 at Savage Hall.

To open the season the Falcons travel to Blacksburg, Va., Nov. 10 to play in the NABC Classic. The other teams in the tournament are Western Carolina, BGSU's first opponent, Radford and Atlantic Coast Conference school Virginia Tech.

The Falcons' home opener is Nov. 19 against Urbana, a NAIA school in central Ohio. They play just one other home game in 2005, hosting Oakland, a NCAA tournament participant last season, on Nov. 30.

BGSU plays four games in December, the highlight Dec. 17 against another ACC opponent at a neutral site, Florida State in the Coors Classic in Mobile, Ala. Non-conference road games are Nov. 26 at Bradley, Dec. 3 at IPFW, Dec. 10 at Arkansas-Little Rock and Dec. 19 at Troy State.

The Falcons open the MAC season Jan. 4, playing Central Michigan at home. They also host Northern Illinois on Jan. 11, Buffalo Jan. 24, and Akron Jan. 29th.

The Falcons face defending MAC Tournament champion Ohio University at home Feb. 4. Other MAC home contests that month are Eastern Michigan on Feb. 7 and Kent State on Feb. 21. BGSU will again host a Bracket Buster game on Feb. 18.

Defending MAC champion Miami comes to Bowling Green March 1. The Falcons finish the regular season March 4 at Ohio. The MAC Tournament starts March 6.

The Falcons get a 2006 home game against South Alabama for participating in the Coors.
