Bowling Green State University women's basketball coach Curt Miller took home his second consecutive Mid-American Conference coach of the year award last night, as voted on by the MAC News Media Association.

Miller led the Falcons to a 25-2 regular-season record and a 16-0 MAC campaign, the fifth time in conference history a team has accomplished a perfect season. He is 90-55 in five seasons at BGSU.

Kent State players were honored with three of the other four specialty awards. Senior forward Lindsay Shearer was named player of the year, senior guard Malika Willoughby won defensive player of the year and junior guard La'kia Stewart was named sixth woman of the year. Ohio's Rachel Frederick was named freshman of the year.
