BOWLING GREEN - Chris Hoiles will be a volunteer assistant coach for the Bowling Green State University baseball team next spring, as he did from 2002 to 2004.

Hoiles had coached the past two seasons at Eastern Michigan, his alma mater. The Elmwood High School graduate was a catcher for 10 seasons for the Baltimore Orioles.

The Falcons also announced the addition of five players to the program, including Archbold's David Borcherdt, a catcher who hit .508 as a senior.

The others are shortstop/pitcher Mark Galvin (Pickerington), middle infielder Logan Meisler (Port Clinton), third baseman Robbie Moffett (Chelsea, Mich.) and pitcher Richard O'Brien Jr. (Boardman).
