Miller gets 100th as Falcons roll

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Seniors Ali Mann and Carin Horne scored 19 points apiece as Bowling Green State University moved to 7-1 on the year with a 71-46 win over St. Bonaventure University in nonconference action.

The victory was the 100th for Falcons coach Curt Miller.

The win extended BG's winning streak to six games. The loss drops the Bonnies to 4-5.

Stout defense helped Bowling Green take a commanding 36-18 lead at the half as the Falcons limited St. Bonaventure to just 29 percent (7-24) from the floor in the first half, while forcing 12 turnovers.

Bowling Green opened the game on an 8-0 run.

The Bonnies closed the gap to seven at 20-13 with 6:50 remaining but Bowling Green responded by outscoring the Bonnies 16-5 to close the half.

BGSU led the entire game, with its biggest advantage at 32 points with five minutes to play.

The Falcons were 30-of-62 (48 percent) from the field for the game to St. Bonaventure's 16-of-47 (34 percent).

Amber Flynn contributed 11 points for BGSU.

Dana Mitchell scored 11 points to lead the Bonnies.

The Falcons took advantage of 34 points off turnovers to only 12 for St. Bonaventure and scored 14 fast-break points to none for the Bonnies.
