BGSU women fall again, ranked 18th
2/6/2007Despite continuing to win, Bowling Green fell one spot for the second straight week, dropping to No. 18 in the Associated Press wom-en s basketball Top 25 poll.
The Falcons (20-2) beat Toledo 73-62 on Sunday.
Maryland, the defending national champions which led the poll for the fi rst 10 weeks, fell two more places to sixth after losing to an unranked opponent for the first time in two years.
The Terrapins 77-72 loss at Georgia Tech Thursday came four days after they lost at home to North Caro-lina. Maryland has gone just 4-3 since starting 18-0.Duke, North Carolina and Tennessee remained the top three teams. No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Connecticut each climbed one place.
