•BGSU notes: The Falcons and Eagles have played in the MAC tournament in three of the past four seasons. In 2004 EMU beat BGSU for the MAC title, and in 2005 the Falcons won a quarterfinal game. A Falcons win would advance them to the MAC championship game for the fourth consecutive season. BGSU has won seven straight games at Quicken Loans Arena. When the teams faced off this season, the Falcons won by 17 on the road.

•EMU notes: The Eagles have won four of their past five games and beat Ohio, the only MAC team BGSU has lost to in the past two years, in the quarterfinals. Alyssa Pittman, the MAC freshman of the year, leads the league with 77 3-pointers. The star for the Eagles in the regular-season matchup with BGSU was freshman Kelly Watts (17 points, eight rebounds). Sarah VanMetre, a second-team All-MAC honoree, was held to 14 points and committed five turnovers in the game.
