BGSU's keys to victory

11/23/2007

1. Slow Jalen Parmele: BG's rush defense is second-worst in the MAC, so it's unreasonable to think the Falcons can stop the league's second-leading rusher. But the more BG limits Parmele's touches and production the more it increases its chances of winning.

2. Pick on the kid: Quarterback D.J. Lenehan can make big-time passes and big-time errors. Force the true-freshman to hurry his throws and make poor decisions. It will be a good thing for BG if the less-mobile Clint Cochran takes the majority of snaps for the Rockets.

3. Understand the moment: This is a game BG should win, but one that could bear significant repercussions if it doesn't. Solid execution and minimizing of mistakes should give the Falcons their first win in this rivalry since 2003.
