BGSU's Briggs earns first team All-MAC honor

Bowling Green State University's Diyral Briggs, a defensive end, has been named to the Mid-American Conference All-MAC first team, announced Wednesday. Briggs earns All-MAC honors for a second consecutive season.

He recorded 60 tackles, while he led the conference with 9.5 sacks and was second in the league with 13.5 tackles for loss. The native of Mt. Healthy, Ohio, also had one forced fumble, a fumble recovery and 10 quarterback hurries.

Junior Nick Iovinelli and his 40.4 yards per punt was selected as a third teamer.
