Falcons fall to Redhawks

BOWLING GREEN The Bowling Green State University Falcons failed to complete a furious second-half comeback Tuesday night and lost their third consecutive game, 67-60 to Miami (Ohio).

The Falcons (8-9, 1-3) trailed by as many as 15 points in the second half, but trimmed their deficit to 58-57 with 3:01 left. They didn t score again until Darryl Clements 3-pointer with 17 seconds to go.

The RedHawks (10-6, 3-1) led 30-27 at halftime and opened the second half with an 11-0 run that put BGSU in such a hole.

Nate Miller led all players with 17 points in his first start for the Falcons this season. Miami s Michael Bramos was one of five RedHawks in double figures with 14 points, while teammate Eric Pollitz, from Ottawa-Glandorf, scored 13 points.

BGSU s Chris Knight (seven points, 10 rebounds) hobbled off the floor at 10:56 in the second half with an apparent lower right leg injury, but returned about five minutes later.

The Falcons next game is Saturday at Ohio University.
