BOWLING GREEN - Bowling Green State University senior wideout Tyrone Pronty suffered a broken bone in his right foot during a 31-14 season-opening win over Troy.

The 6-foot, 189-pounder, is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks.

"I really feel bad for Tyrone; he worked so hard," BG coach Dave Clawson said. "He had a great summer, had a great camp."

Against Troy, Pronty tied his career-best single-game receptions effort with six catches for 30 yards.

"We hate losing Tyrone because he's a good player, a good person and one of our senior leaders," Clawson said. "But the well is not dry and there are other guys that can make plays for us and they're going to have their opportunities and I have all the confidence in the world that they're going to make plays."

Redshirt sophomore Ray Hutson (6-2, 198) is expected to start in Pronty's place. Senior Chris Wright (5-10, 190) and redshirt sophomore Adrian Hodges (5-11, 191) are also expected to contribute .
