BOWLING GREEN - P.J. Mahone, one of Bowling Green State University's top defensive players, has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, according to Falcons coach Dave Clawson.

Mahone, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound defensive back, is the Falcons' leading tackler after two games. He's accounted for a team-high 21 tackles, including 10 solo. He was credited with a team-high 13 tackles (seven solo) in BG's 27-20 defeat at Missouri and 5 1/2 (three solo) in a 31-14 win over Troy.

Mahone is one of only three returning starters on defense from last year's team. He led the Falcons with 95 tackles last season.
