BOWLING GREEN - Bowling Green State University women's basketball coach Curt Miller recently received a two-year contract extension, which extends his contract to June 30, 2015.

"What Curt, his staff and teams have accomplished is remarkable," said Greg Christopher, BGSU assistant vice president and director of athletics. "First they built a program, and now it has been sustained at a championship level.

"How Curt and his staff manage every aspect of their team is top-notch. We look forward to Curt being a part of BGSU for years to come."

Miller, who is heading into his ninth season at BG, owns a 179-73 record. The Falcons are riding a string of six straight 20-plus win seasons and have participated in five consecutive postseasons under Miller, who has claimed Mid-American Conference coach of the year honors a record five straight seasons.

The Falcons became the first team in MAC history to advance to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2006-07 when they posted a school-best 31-4 record.

"I am grateful to Greg Christopher and the entire university administration for their commitment and support of our women's basketball program," Miller said. "I am excited about our future and look forward to sharing my extension news with recruits and their families."

The Falcons finished 29-5 last season and played in the Women's NIT.

Miller ranks as the fourth winningest coach in MAC women's basketball history. He is tied for seventh in MAC history with 94 victories against league opponents.
