BUFFALO - For the second straight Saturday, the Bowling Green State University men's team won a game in New York, this time over Canisius, 58-54.
Dee Brown nailed three 3-pointers and finished with 16 points. Otis Polk (13 points) and Scott Thomas (10 points) were also in double figures for the Falcons. Thomas also pulled down a team-best eight rebounds.
BG (5-3) has won four straight, including last Saturday at Fordham, located in the Bronx.
Canisius (4-4) shot a meager 30 percent from the field, attempting 24 3-pointers and making seven. Julius Coles led the team with 17 points and Frank Turner chipped in with 12.
BG led 34-27 at halftime. It shot 40 percent from the field and made just nine of 16 free throw attempts.
