AKRON — Bowling Green State University coach Curt Miller continues to climb in the ranks of Mid-American Conference women's basketball coaches.

Miller collected career win No. 200 when the Falcons defeated Akron 66-56 Saturday.

Lauren Prochaska poured in a 20 points to lead BG (21-6, 11-2) The win also gave the Falcons a one-game edge over Toledo in the MAC standings as BG seeks its sixth straight regular-season title.

Tamika Nurse added 14 points, including seven foul shots during the final two minutes to hold off the Zips in a matchup of two MAC East frontrunners. Jen Uhl and Tracy Pontius provided 10 points each.

Uhl also pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.

Rachel Tecca provided 20 points and Amber Witt finished with nine for the Zips (15-11, 9-4). BG is 43-2 all-time against Akron.

Miller, in his ninth season, is only the third coach in MAC history to reach 200 career wins. He reached the milestone faster than any coach in conference history.

BG, which can claim the MAC title by winning its final three games, will play Wednesday at Buffalo.

The Falcons have won at least 20 games for seven straight seasons, which equals Kent State's MAC record (1995-2002).
