ATHENS, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University football team's struggles on both offense and defense continued in a 49-25 loss at Ohio Saturday.
After BG scored an early field goal, the Bobcats responded with 28 straight points to lead 28-3 at the half.
Redshirt freshman Matt Schilz returned at quarterback and completed 23-of-37 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns but also had an interception that Ohio's Donovan Fletcher returned 55 yards for a TD.
Bowling Green fell to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in Mid-American Conference play while Ohio is now 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the MAC.
