BGSU women edge Butler for 12th straight win

The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team closed the nonconference portion of the schedule with a 73-64 win at Butler University Wednesday night.

The Falcons improved to 12-1 on the season. BG has won 12 games in a row, and the Bulldogs drop to 6-6.

The Falcons set a school record for nonconference wins in a season and they now have posted a double-digit win totals in nonleague play in each of the last five years.

Senior Lauren Prochaska had a game-high 28 points to pace four double-figure scorers for Bowling Green. Sophomore Chrissy Steffen had 13 points and a career-high eight rebounds.

Seniors Tracy Pontius and Jen Uhl had 11 and 10 points, respectively. Uhl pulled down eight rebounds to tie Steffen for game honors.

Chloe Hamilton had 17 points to lead four Bulldogs in twin figures.
