BOWLING GREEN -- Bowling Green State University men's basketball guard Dee Brown has been named the Mid-American Conference East Division player of the week, the league office announced Monday.
Brown, a junior from Detroit, averaged 14.5 points per game as the Falcons earned wins over Texas-San Antonio and Saint Louis last week.
Brown finished with eight points, six rebounds and three steals in BG's 70-59 home win over Texas-San Antonio, then had a team-high 21 points to go with four assists and three steals in the 67-61 road win over the Billikens.
The Detroit Country Day product made 9-of-17 shots from the field and 11-of-16 from the foul line during the week.
Western Michigan's Juwan Howard Jr. was named West Division player of the week.
