1/29/2011

BOWLING GREEN — Brandon Hourigan has been named the new director of strength and conditioning at Bowling Green State University. His responsibilities will include overseeing the strength and conditioning of all 18 Falcon sports.

Hourigan, who worked with BG football coach Dave Clawson at Richmond for three seasons, replaces Aaron Hillmann, who accepted a position at the University of Michigan earlier this month.

Hourigan already is on campus working with BG athletes.

Hourigan comes to BG after spending the last two seasons at the University of Virginia as the head strength and conditioning coach. While at Virginia he was responsible for all program development for the football team.

Prior to his time at Virginia, Hourigan was the head strength and conditioning coach for football at Richmond from 2005-08, where he worked with Clawson from 2005-07.
