BGSU names new DL coach

BOWLING GREEN — Larry McDaniel has been named the new defensive line coach for the Bowling Green State University football team, coach Dave Clawson announced Thursday.

McDaniel has spent the last 12 seasons as an assistant in the Mid-American Conference, serving at Kent State from 2003-10 and at Ball State from 1999-03.

While at Kent State last season, McDaniel coached Roosevelt Nix, who became the first freshman in MAC history to be named defensive player of the year.
