Kraus committed a flagrant foul on Ohio's Tommy Freeman in the final moments of BG's 70-60 loss to the Bobcats Wednesday at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio. A flagrant foul results in two free throws for the opponent and an immediate game ejection, but it does not include a one-game suspension, according to MAC officials.
MAC commissioner Jon Steinbrecher reviewed video of the incident Friday morning and, along with Ricky Stokes, associate commissioner and director of men's basketball operations for the MAC, ruled that the flagrant foul will not result in an immediate one-game suspension.
As a result, Kraus can play in the Falcons' next game, which is Saturday, Feb. 26, against Miami in Millett Hall in contest scheduled to start at 11 a.m. and be televised by ESPNU.
