ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University senior Tenishia Benson scored eight points in the final 2:08 of the game, keying the Bobcats to a 60-56 win over the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team Wednesday night in Mid-American Conference action at the Convocation Center.
With the loss, BG (22-5, 12-2 MAC) drops into a tie for the overall MAC lead with Eastern Michigan.
The Eagles are also 12-2 in the league after a 54-33 win over Toledo Tuesday.
In the MAC East Division race, BG is two games ahead of second-place Miami with two regular-season games remaining.
Benson had 21 points and nine rebounds to lead the Bobcats (13-15, 6-8), while Shavon Robinson added 20 points.
The loss overshadowed a monster game by BG's Alexis Rogers, who led all players with 24 points and 16 rebounds.
Rogers had 12 of BG's 24 second-half points.
