BG draws Yale in NCAA volleyball opener

BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University volleyball team will face Yale University in its first-round game of the NCAA tournament on Friday at 5 p.m. at Penn State University.

Should the Falcons win their match against the Bulldogs, they will face the winner of the match between the host school and Binghamton on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Penn State is the overall No. 1 seed in the tournament.

BG is 21-10 and is playing in its first NCAA tournament since 1981. The Falcons qualified for the tournament by winning the Mid-American Conference title. Yale was a perfect 14-0 in the Ivy League and 18-5 overall.
