No. 6 Miami tops Falcons 2-1 in CCHA action

OXFORD, Ohio — Bowling Green suffered a 2-1 loss Friday night to No. 6 Miami in a Central Collegiate Hockey Association game.

The RedHawks' Cody Murphy scored two second-period power-play goals, one coming just 51 seconds into the period and the other at 8:40.

Mark Cooper scored at 16:36 of the first period for the Falcons (8-12-5, 5-9-3-1 CCHA).

BG's Andrew Hammond made 24 saves, while Jay Williams had 21 stops for Miami (14-6-5, 9-4-4-4).
